Our handmade baskets are influenced by Lao and Thai weaving techniques, shapes and patterns. Traditional basket weaving is a dying art due to its long and complex process from plant harvest to drying, dyeing, smoking and weaving, usually by highly skilled older weavers. Produced with these natural materials, baskets are one of the most utilitarian household items. As we travel across Asia, old and new baskets are used for rice, fruit, drygoods, wood, plants, flowers, chickens, or for decorative purposes in rural and urban communities. We have updated their designs to reflect the multi-purpose and multi-generational uses, while aesthetically combining culture with earthy colors for the modern home.
