About Us
Dera Campbell founded Kurated Style in December 2020 after working for over 20 years in digital advertising, media operations, business development, and marketing at large publishers and ad tech start-ups. She previously held executive positions in London, New York, San Francisco, and most recently, Bangkok. It was in Thailand that Dera met female CEOs of home decor businesses, with a shared passion for preserving traditional craft skills. As a Lao-American, she has a deep connection and love for an East meets West aesthetic.
These inspirations resulted in the creation of Kurated Style, with the vision to support partners who work directly with local artisans across ethnic groups and villages throughout Southeast Asia. Our goal is to globally amplify artisanal designs, support female entrepreneurs, and provide them with the opportunity and platform to showcase their work.
We are committed to producing timeless collections inspired by Laos and Thailand’s relaxed culture and California’s cool vibes. Our aesthetic is a mix of ethnic patterns, organic textures, and neutrals for the contemporary home.
We support and recognize local businesses that employ female artisans who work from home, while caring for their families and communities. Long term, we strive to become an online marketplace for beautiful handmade products inspired by our vibrant cultures.
